Water at work tastes AWFUL, even with Brita pitcher, so I steep fruit/herbal tea in 8 ounces of water until it's dark, then pour over ice with cold water -- better than crystal lite because there's no artificial sweeteners, no caffeine. I'm drinking much more water this way.
i use a stopwatch on walking routes I use a lot. It's very motivating for me to beat a previous "best" time. It also lets me know that I am walking at a good pace, and not just phoning it in. It is also good for runners or joggers. You can find a cheap stopwatch for under $20.
In the past, I would cook more food than we needed and it would be eaten. Now we are cooking the number of servings we need and adding other healthy things to fill out the meal. The end result is we are getting full on less food.
I have been stuck for a few months, but I feel like I've finally broken through. If you weigh every day, you can see a sodium spike after eating out too much, for example, and you can see what your weight is really doing.
