Dress the part when you are exercising, you are a lean mean, sexy getting the weight down machine. Get clothes that fit well have style and for me lots of Color. Because I'm not cooking for a family, it's easy for me to just get take out every night. Instead, I buy lots of healthy meat when it is on sale. I then package it in individual proportions, some of it sliced, some of it cubed, and others as a half breast. Then, when I leave for class in the morning, I just throw one package in the fridge and when I get home it is defrosted and ready to be cooked however I see fit.
Drinking 2 Tbs of Bragg`s apple cider vinegar before meals stopped my sugar and carb cravings completely. By just doing this i`ve lost 2 pants sizes in 1 month! an unexpected extra bonus is glowing skin!
I always experience a food craving after lunch. To keep myself busy and tasty,I make myself a cup of tea or coffee. When I have coffee I add a stevia sweetener and semi-skimmed milk. It saves me calories and I feel satisfied.
I used to always feel the need to stop for a diet soda whenever I stopped by a convenience store for gasoline. Now, I go ahead and get the ice, and then fill with water. I am saving not putting the chemicals in my body and getting 4 glasses of water by the time it is done. I still feel as if I have bought myself a treat!
Each time I feel like hitting the vending machine, I take the change that I would have used and put it in a jar. My stash grows and I feel great about not having spent it on junk. Made me realize how much junk I would have otherwise eaten and how much money would have been gone by now. I started carrying healthy snacks with me to work and dont feel tempted by the machine anymore.
Add slices of frozen fruit to your water for a better taste. I buy a bag of mixed fruit but you can add almost any fruit. Strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, etc. It taste better than some of those taste additives from the store, and you get your fruit serving! I will mix up to a cup of fruit into my days worth of water and drink throughout the day.
How often have you bought a book and started reading only to find out it was not as good as the reviews or the help you needed. Check out books before you buy them at the local library then buy only the ones you think you will want to read again. If you do not live handy to one then maybe an investment in a e-reader is your answer. Because my daughter and I live in different cities we each have a membership in our own cities and share our log-ins so we can download from either library.
When I'm on my treadmill I find myself watching the time. I now cover up the screen with a note card and little piece of tape and stop when I feel I need to stop, not when the time says 20 minutes or a certain distance. I now find myself going a lot further and longer than before!!!
