Tricking your tongue!

I learned that when I crave sugar, the best thing I can do is drink black coffee! Bitter is the opposite of sweet. ( and I truly enjoy black coffee). When I do this, my sugar craving goes away completely! Try it!

Know your Limits!

Sometimes we eat things because they are there like cookies, cake, chips & candy. We have to remind ourselves that we don't need to eat it because its in front of us. We should only eat it if we really want it & if we don't, thats ok. We can always go to the store & get it when we truly WANT it.

Keep on Keepin' On!!

If 1 egg in a dozen is cracked--do you throw out the entire carton? NO-- we save the rest and toss the one we can't use. Never allow one slip up ruin all the good you have done! Keep all your eggs and replace the new one with your next healthy choice! Perserverance is the KEY!! L

Perservere

I find that even when I fall off the wagon, the greatest challenge is to perservere and start over.. when I do, it almost helps wipe the slate clean of the slip ups from the day before.

Food Journal your way to a healthy lifestyle!

I learned that when I prepare my meals the night before and write down what I am going to eat-- I am guarenteed to sitck to my plan. It's great to know ahead of time what you are going to eat so that the next day, there is no room for slip ups! Scheduling workouts helps too!

The art of writing

At times we want to just EAT but if you tune in you will find, you really are not hungry for food. We can be hungry for love,laughter, peace or adventure.Before you go to your fridge, grab a pen & paper & write your feelings out. Your craving will diminish & you will find what ur really hungry for.

1 Day at a Time

Goals are great but DAY to DAY goals are what get you there. Each AM ask yourself " How do I want to feel when I go to sleep?" It's a great feeling at night to review the day in your mind & saying to yourself " I DID GREAT 2DAY!" All the daily "little things" we do make the difference in the end!

No one EVER regrets a Workout!

There are those days when you just don't feel like working out. We all have them. It's during those moments that we have a choice--Ditch the workout, or JUST DO IT. I find that whenever I do the activity, I never ever have regrets & I always feel better! Visualization is the key.
