I LOVE cranberry orange relish on a turkey sandwich but these days I am just too lazy to make it...but suddenly I noticed the Wegmans Triple Fruits jam in my fridge...30 calories per Tbsp. and wow, does it taste great on a turkey sandwich with a bit of lowfat mayo and some nice salad greens!
My new fave product - Jimmy Dean's turkey sausage patties! Pretty cheap, 8 patties for $4! Saute w. no-cal spray, cut up & add an egg for scrambled egg sausage. 1 patty = 60 cal. They're packaged by 4s, but easy to use 1 and bag the rest til needed.
I spicy Indian food AND rice, but rice has lots of calories & pre-packaged Indian dishes don't have enough protein to satisfy me.
I combine 1/2 c. brown rice (109 cal) with sauteed tofu (80 cal) & packaged Indian curry - Dal Makhani (black lentil) has 180 cal per 1/3 c serving. Total...
I have several little items that come in handy during commercials, or even during slow parts of a show...Thighmaster, jog trampoline, free weights, stability ball, WALL and FLOOR. Working in a bit of strength training isn't too hard!
OK, maybe I'm weird, but I just LOVE to see that sparkpoint number kick into 1000...1500...2000...right now it's 3981 but I want to see it go to 4000...
SILLY but lots of times it makes me read one more article or check out one more blog, and I am glad I did.
Watching and FEELING my underpants fit me better is the biggest kick! AND motivator. I'm planning a treat of some new ones when I reach my goal...haven't been to Victoria's Secret in a LONG LONG time!
It's HARD for me! But I've discovered if I drink half or more of that water before noon, it is not so hard to drink the rest. If I wait until evening, there's just no hope, I want something tastier...
I like to boost the nutritional value of canned soups by adding extra veggies & meat. For example, Progresso's Italian wedding soup - yummy but not quite filling enough! Add 1 cup each sliced carrots and celery, along with diced frozen turkey meatballs, & microwave. Gives you 2 hefty servings!
I list the contents of my freezer and post the list on the fridge door. Helps me in meal planning to use what I've already bought - I waste less food this way and save money. I tend to be an out-of-sight-out-of-mind person so seeing a list helps me not 'lose' stuff in the freezer!
