Instead of simply logging what you ate over the course of the day, how about using the nutrition tracker to decide what to eat tomorrow. That way you can tweak it until it fits your nutritional goals, and you have something to follow when you pack lunch or fix dinner that fits the whole game plan.
You know how Spark gives you that fine-print warning that "Secrets of Success are submitted by readers and are NOT scanned or edited for accuracy and truth; please do not use them as a substitute for a physician's advice"? Please, take that to heart. I have read some DOOZY hints on here that just blow my mind. Remember: someone typing it onto Spark People DOESN'T MAKE IT TRUE, HEALTHY OR HELPFUL. Trust a doctor/professional or a medical website for more factual facts.
Every month FlyLady, who's system is free on www.flylady.net, has a monthly habit we work on all month long. It's also posted in the FlyLady Peace is Mine SparkTeam. How do you eat an elephant? Of all of the tips I learned while losing weight, drinking my water at room temp was the most life-changing for me! I had been sipping my cold water all day until I discovered (learned from a seasoned dieter) that if I drink my water at room temp I could gulp it down in seconds. 2 litres of water has been a minimum of water intake for me since then...for the last 2 years...and it is EASY.
In addition to my Christmas savings, I also buy gifts all year round for Christmas. I have the standard set of people (or service positions) that I buy for or recognize each year - as I think most people do. So if I see a gift in April or August, I buy it and save the time and money in December.
