Dryer Sheet as a Scum Buster

Remove obstinate soap buildup from glass shower doors by sprinkling a few drops of water onto a used fabric-softener sheet and scrubbing.

Affirmations

Develop a personal DECLARATION - to empower you during challenging times. I have a couple of them:

"I am MORE than a number on the scale - I am a LIONESS!!!"

"No matter WHAT the scale says, I will always be the strongest and healthiest ME that I can be!"

DRINKING WATER

I have discovered that if I drink a tall glass of water before my meal, that it causes my stomach to be full quicker, therefore less calories are eaten, and as soon as I feel full I stop eating. I just push the plate away. emoticon

Make a Shopping List!

Don't shop on the run -- make a list of the healthy items you need for a week!
Don't over-shop, don't buy 'treats' to reward yourself for the weekend.
Think healthy, think lo-cal, think about what you really need not what you crave!

I'm Back and I've Missed Sparking!

No time to Spark seems to have resulted in not making time for my fitness routine. I'm coming up to what could be the busiest time of my life and I'm going to keep Sparking my way through it! :-D My success seems to encourage others, so LET THE SPARKING BEGIN! (again!) ;-D

Excuses vs Reasons

Everytime I come up with an Excuse not to do something (Not workout, not make healthy food choices etc) I make myself come up with 3 reason to do it. Usually the Reasons win and I end up making the better decision emoticon

Snack Calorie Ranges

Snacks are am important part of a Healthy Diet and Exercise Program. They provide you with the energy needed to support you bodies need throughout the day.

It's not only important to find snacks you like but to find a wide arrainge of calorie ranges.

I have 35, 40, 65, 70, 100, 110, 125, and 140 calorie snacks that I eat on a routine basis. This enables me to mix and match snacks based upon my over all caloric needs and it allows for a lot of variety.

keep going!

No matter what happened the day before, I remember that I have another chance tomorrow. The coolest thing about waking up in the morning (well other than being alive I guess lol) is having a brand new day full of promise and chances to succeed.

Remind Yourself What You Are Doing Right

Sometimes I don't feel like I'm doing anything right. At times like this, it helps to review the good habits that I have already established to keep from becoming discouraged. It's surprising to realize, even on a "bad" day how many GOOD choices I make.
