Every day is a new day

Yes, it's trite, but no matter how well or poorly yesterday's eating or exercising went, you get another chance to do it better today!

Sip it whenever and wherever

Whenever I see the word WATER I take a big sip throughout the day. This has helped me as a reminder especially when busy at work. emoticon

Between meal snacks

I used to eat oatmeal cookies for snacks. I thought maybe even the oatmeal was good for me. Once I started to diet, I realized I was snacking on 225 calories of cookie!

I started keeping a basket of grape tomatos around, and I pop one or two of them when I feel the need for a snack. Calorie difference? A grape tomato is 2 calories.

Be Prepared

Make a menu for the week of every meal and snack you will eat. Grocery shop based off of your menu. Then when you get home, portion out everything for the week. By taking the extra time when putting groceries away everything is ready for you giving you one less excuse and making it that much easier - especially on crazy busy days emoticon

OMIT THESE from your diet

McDonald’s Fruit and Maple Oatmeal packs 290 calories and 32 grams of sugar
Jamba Juice’s Berry Cherry Pecan Oatmeal has 340 calories and 27 grams of sugar.

Wendy’s, the Broccoli and Cheese Potato contains 330 calories, the “cheese” sauce, which is actually a blend of more than 20 ingredients, including food starch, sugar, fillers, and colors.

Vinegar

Make a toilet sparkle: Pour in a cup or two of vinegar and let it sit there overnight before scrubbing with a toilet brush.

Recite your goal every day

I keep my eyes on the prize! Every day I tell someone that by the end of the year I am going to weigh 125 lbs. It is a realistic goal and it keeps me focus on the end product. It's worth it to me to obtain that goal.

Natural & Inexpensive Fabric Softener

Instead of buying a chemical fabric softener (which some people are allergic to), try using White Vinegar. I use it & it really works great! The smell washes out in the rinse water & leaves the wash soft & suds-free!

Set mini distance goals while running

To be able to run greater distances, I pick a landmark ahead of me on the run, and I tell myself that I can make it to that point. Once I get there, I pick another landmark and so on. Before I know it, I've run the entire route and I feel great not having given up at any point before the finish. emoticon
