Read a devotion a day

I read a devotion each day to keep me on the right track. It could be from the Bible, or just a book of quotes.

Preparing for the Day Ahead

Cleaning out my purse

Whenever I am waiting during an appointment, I take the time to clean out my purse and sort through receipts, and update my checkbook/register. During this I find I have change lying around my purse that I could use towards parking meters, or save it and put it in a jar at home towards our emergency fund.

Positive Readings

When you wake up in the morning, don't turn on the TV to the news, but rather turn it on to the inspirational channels, that have shows like Joyce Meyer, or Joel Osteen. If not, read a motivational or devotional book to keep your spirits up.

Keeping track of expense receipts

Not everyone can easily track their expenses, even with the help of technology. I keep a receipts organizer in my purse and separate my cash receipts from my debit card receipts
