I find it very useful to take 10 minutes out of my day in the evening to start preparing for the next day. For instance, fixing my kid's clothes for the morning, preparing what items I am going to use for breakfast, and quickie to do list for work.
Whenever I am waiting during an appointment, I take the time to clean out my purse and sort through receipts, and update my checkbook/register. During this I find I have change lying around my purse that I could use towards parking meters, or save it and put it in a jar at home towards our emergency fund.
When you wake up in the morning, don't turn on the TV to the news, but rather turn it on to the inspirational channels, that have shows like Joyce Meyer, or Joel Osteen. If not, read a motivational or devotional book to keep your spirits up.
