Thought it was all hype, even read not to believe what you see on tv - lol, like you can believe what you read! I noticed 4-5 days, I was moving my bowels a lot, like cleaning out. Then it settled to daily, which is good for me. I knew it worked because I went off it for a week and back on, same cycle again! A great way to eat something healthy with extra benefits!
Vitamin D deficiency is serious business. I've been paying closer attention to this problem since my Mom had a serious problem with it last winter. She was holed up in the basement during our long power outtage. We had a bad winter last year, gray, snowy, icy. She had to get shots & take tons of D. Go out in the sun and you might need a Vit. D supplement too to stay healthy this winter!
I paid about $80 on sale for a bun 10-cup coffee maker. We have the professional Bun 2 pot coffee maker at the church and it is fast and wonderful. I was tired of my old one & bought this expensive one. It overflows when you use more than 6 spoons of coffee with the full pot. If I make it with 8 cups and just under the 6 spoons, it's ok, but when I have company & want more, I have a huge mess every time.
It sounds silly, perhaps, but I wonder if we really know how much money we throw away with the leftovers each week. I started making a concerted effort to use every bit of food that is in the fridge. Whether restaurant or home leftovers and I found I was stretching 4 more meals, at least, by either reheating or using them in another way. I think we take how much food we have for granted sometimes.
Usually, I would jump all into dieting: change everything to fat-free, get the yuckiest stuff just because it's low-cal, turn away from every "fattening" thing I saw. That can only work for so long. I have made my changes less drastic this time around. Some low-fat items are really good. Some things you just need to eat as is and count it in your calories. Moderation & baby steps will get us there!
Everyone lives at such a fast pace today that we swallow our meals without even realizing what we ate. Set the table! Get out a tablecloth, napkins & the good china. Whatever you put on the plates is going to be dramatically more appealing & you will have had an experience, not just calories.
Schwan's Chicken Bites are very nicely cleaned, lightly spiced, perfectly cooked, tender pieces of chicken breast. Pop it in the oven for 17 minutes and you have absolutely perfect chicken for whatever. My family loves this & I am thrilled with having it on hand.
Asparagus and fresh parsley! These are natural diuretics and they work wonders. I especially fresh asparagus grilled (just have to put it opposite the grill grid, lol). I like the flat leaf parsley better than the curly, much more flavor. Put it on & in everything!
I can be in the bottom of the barrel, but listening to contemporary Christian music, before you know it, I'm singing, praising and back on track. Worshiping God lifts US!! amazing Connecting w/the Holy Spirit lifts our spirits!!
It's easy to get off track and lose your direction. When the weight is up/down & not moving forward, it's hard to focus. That's when looking at your journey, goals met, successes can refocus you. Look at what you have done-keep going!
