Farmers Market Shopping

When you buy food direct from your farmers, picked the day of or the day before sold to you, it tasted better than you can imagine. I sample farm fresh food with olive oil and salt and people are always so amazed. I tell em' its the veggies!

Keep it fresh...

From spices to grains to vegetables, keep em fresh. Use em' or lose them. It is so easy to let the inner hoarder to hold on to food that may be unhealthy (rancid) or just old and lacking some of the essential nutrients it once had.

When you say no to something, transfer it to savings...

That's right, give it to yourself. When you say no to a $4 latte, move that $4 from your checking to your saving and see how those impulse purchases add up quick !

SPRING STEAMED GREENS or RAABS

I eat at least one bunch of steamed spring greens like kale, collards, stinging nettles etc, each day. This time of the year market fresh greens are sweet and delicious.
