Spot Shot Works!

This amazing spray on carper cleaner can get out even old coffee stains!! Unfortunately, at the bridge club, they get a lot of coffee spills. When one of the members told me about it, I tried it, as the cleaner they had at the club didn't work.

Resort to Sparkpages

I'm about to begin this journey and I've found tons of inspiration while browsing the sparkpages from other members. Seeing all of their awesome achievements makes me believe I can make it, too!

One day at a time

At the beginning of the month I mark a calendar with just one chore to do each day. Such as eat an apple, read a health article, walk for 20 minutes, etc. I do it with 2 friends, we give everything a point value and we each pay $5.00 whoever gets the highest points wins and they must buy something

Eat ENOUGH Food

My secret for continuing to lose weight is that I eat ENOUGH food. I do not feel deprived.I always eat ENOUGH so that I am not miserable, nor am I uncomfortable. So I'm losing slowly, but still i feel that I am making progress and getting close to my goal.

Refuse to lisen to negative self-talk.

There are days when I feel like I have a person on each shoulder talking in my ear. On one side is the big fat lazy me - on the other is the lean fit person I am striving to be. The lazy fat me never wants to do anything - the lean fit me wants to go to the gym. Shut that fat person up at any cost

don't panic

Plateaus happen, don't panic and give up. Some plateaus may last for several months. Just continue doing what you have been but change up the foods/workouts just a little to trick you body. Your body is going through some huge changes and sometimes need that break to catch up with your determination

Change is a good thing

You've lost a lot of weight, but still have a distance to go. You work out, eat the right things, and yet you've stopped losing weight.

Change something. You are at this point because your body is comfortable. Try a new workout routine, switch out your meal plans.

Do something DIFFERENT

Walking

I hit a plateau with my normal exercise routine. I walked a few miles per night for a few nights and the weight just dropped right down.

Enduring the plateau season

A plateau is a leveling off time when there is not much change in forward progress towards your goal. Even if the numbers on the scale don't move, you can still make progress in other areas of your life, so work on those. emoticon emoticon emoticon
