Pedometer - Make it a HABIT!

This isn't anything new but wear a pedometer everyday and make it a habit. You'll start to pay attention to how much you move and you'll be motivated to move more and beat your "daily records". You'll be surprise how well this works to keep you moving!!

Double check your tracked food items

The user entered foods are a great help in nutrition tracking.You can always at least get close. However, some users enter only calories so if you are tracking other nutrients, make sure to double check the nutrition information for user entered foods. Otherwise your results might be skewed.

Be good to yourself

Give yourself a daily pat on the back. It's easy to get down on yourself . Speak nicely to yourself, even if you don't feel like it. It really does help! Congratulate yourself on things you've done right and encourage yourself to take it one day at a time. You're worth it!

PODCASTS!!

I just discovered FREE downloadable podcasts on iTunes. I now suscribe to 5 different nutrition/fitneess podcasts. I listen to these on the treadmill - it keeps me from getting bored and I am getting some helpful and motivational information at the same time. Awesome!!

Getting my daily fruits in

I make fruit smoothies for breakfast a lot. An orange, banana and a couple of handfuls of strawberries and you've knocked out a bunch of fruits for the day. Add yogurt and you've just added a great little a protein boost!
