Freeze that flour first!

Always freeze your flour before putting into the canister - kills the bug larvae. Flour doesn't "draw" bugs - the larvae are in it when you purchase. Since I have been doing this, I have had a canister of flour for years with never a bug!
I know - eeewww - but hey, life is life and that's the facts, lol.

You ARE Worth it!!

That's it - YOU ARE WORTH IT! You are worth the extra effort to make this dream into a reality.

If I can do it, anyone can do it - One day at a time.

Each One Reach One

The National Literacy Program's slogan is "Each One Teach One" - America's reading, one person at a time.

My SP Slogan is Each One Reach One - I try to reach out to at least one new SparkPeople member daily! By helping others, I help reinforce my own program daily.

Read a blog, comment on a status, welcome a new member - no act of kindness is too small, or ever wasted.

Find something positive about yourself every day!

Find something positive about yourself every day!
Did your hair come out just right - your makeup? Do you like your fingers, toes, hands, feet? Your eyes, nose, mouth?

When you learn to accept and then love yourself, you will be on track to become all you wish to be!

Black Bananas?

My dad came up with this idea - he slices apples and puts them in lemonade - and eats the slices during the week.

I tried it with a banana and 2 days later it still was white! And it was totally mush when I did it!! Yummy and cheap!

Next I am going to try freezing them this way!

If you can't live without it - work it in!

Deprivation equals failure. Better to eat everything in moderation.

Accentuate the Positive - Eliminate the Negative!

This will be a constant "battle" if we allow it. I am changing my vocabulary to more positive phrases!

Less than optimal food choices instead of slipping, sliding or binges. I am not on a wagon, therefore I cannot fall off it!

Fluctuations instead of weight gains.

3-5 pound weight range instead of expecting the weight to remain constant.

'tis the season - - - eat within reason!

to say we won't indulge and/or overindulge is not realistic.

to eat within reason is realistic.

enjoy the season but use some common sense too.
