Portion Control: Weigh and store leftovers

Whenever I come home from dining out. I immediately weigh and measure the leftovers and store them in the fridge in portion controlled containers. This way when I go to eat them I know they are already the right amount and it keeps me from overeating. This also makes lunch for work quick and easy as I can just grab a container and go!

Don't drink with your meal

The reason for this is your food becomes a slurry and slides through your digestive track too fast. This makes you take longer to reach full and makes you hungrier again sooner. This is one rule that ALL Weight Loss Surgeons teach their patients but it applies to everyone trying to lose weight. Observe obese people and you will often find them consuming gallons of liquids to get the food down so they can keep on eating. Good rule is nothing during or 30 minutes after eating.

Photo of scale

Take a photo of your scale each time you weigh in.

I have been doing this for a while and it is really motivating to have so many photos of scales all going down, plus with the date stamp on, it doubles as a log of your journey.

Each time you snap the photo feels like a reward to have earned a photo of the scale.
