My motivation

paying attention to my goals, knowing that the scale just gives a number and does not define ME, watching my calories, working out every day! Thinking about why I am doing this! Just know that you are better than the set backs, that you can jump over the obstacles and that this is a slow and steady race! We have our entire lives to turn ourselves around and be the better, healthier, thinner versions of our old selves! This is it. You can do this!

Just Imagine

While you're pushing through your workout on the treadmill, elliptical, or whatever it may be, imagine yourself doing something you've always wanted to do or learn how to do.. and SUCCEEDING. This pushes me to want to workout even harder because I know the more I push myself now, the more I'd be able to push myself to finally do what I've always wanted to do.

Learn healthy recipes if desserts are your weakness, find fun exercise classes to keep you motived, read articles that spark your interest, and overall make sure you are enjoying yourself because weight loss does NOT need to be torture! Get Motivated Every Day

I began logging into Spark People every day to read motivational articles and secrets to success because I know that I usually lose motivation after my first 2 weeks.

I have learned so much like the 10% Rule, Sleeping in my work out close etc. and now my hubby and I sighed up for spinning 3 times a week. I know this time will be different and I am more excited than what I have felt in the last 4 years about finally losing all the weight I gained since I got married.

self destructive

I have spent my entire life not being good enough, telling myself how fat and ugly I am... It is amazing how great you can feel just by stopping the negativity. Then if you add self love...... well, nothing is impossible. Tell yourself what a great person you are, how great you look today. Take a moment everyday to appreciate the growth your making with your positive motivation. We are all worthy.

How Do You Eat an Elephant? One Bite at a Time!

Don't look at your primary goal - sometimes it can seem overwhelming to think about it. Break your big goal into smaller goals and celebrate each accomplishment until you reach your primary goal. I bought myself a small patchwork stuffed elephant to remind me that the only way I can eat this elephant is one bite at a time! Make the elephant your new "mascot" to remind you to look at the small accomplishments!

Feeling as though you have to give up all the things you really like?

Dont cut it out just have small portions. I have a tiny halloween portion of chocolate because I dont want to say I am on a diet and cant have that. This way I am not depriving myself, I am just being sensible about it.
