I use the "Other Goals" page to save money. I added a goal of saving $5/day and I always check the box off every day. I put in a week's worth if I have it, if not, one day at a time. So far, we have had a 3 day trip to Las Vegas and a 3 day trip to San Diego paid for by just saving $5/day. We don't miss the money in small increments, and it is easier than coming up with $500 at one time.
My fiancÚ & I are both bartenders, so we have cash on hand, which means it seems to spend faster! We have starting a little thing we call our 'fund', where after every shift we work we put $20 away. We use this for things we want. Like our new TV or sectional. We are currently using towards our upcoming wedding!
Every few days I transfer the last "few dollars & change" from my checking account to my savings account. I like to keep my checking account even. So, if I have 333.50 in my checking account, I transfer $3.50 to savings. It's not so much that I miss it, but it's builds up over time in the savings account.
I love books, I inhale books...I have boxes and boxes of books. One day it dawned on me that I can read all the books I want for free! And I don't need to find a place to store them after I have finished.
I'm hooked on the website FreeFlys.com; a few times a week they post links to companies giving away free samples of products. This is a great way to "try before you buy". I've gotten samples of cereal bars, coffee, foundation, and shampoo, just to name a few!
If the best time for you to work out is early in the morning, but, like me, you begrudge getting up sooo early . . . get everything ready the night before. For example, I work out to , so I make sure the DVD is in the player before I go to bed, my water bottle is full and in the fridge, my work out area is clear and I go to bed in my work out clothes!
I eat the same breakfast every day to lower my cholestrol---oatmeal with usually some fruit. I used to put it in the Nutrition tracker every day til I realized I could SAVE SOME TIME & ENERGY by copying it a week ahead on the COPY CUSTOM FOODS above the meal listed [on the Nutrition Tracker] . That little amt. of time INVESTED has SAVED ME TIME and TIME AGAIN [pun intended!]. If I am making a big batch of food,say a SP recipe for chili, I can copy THAT CUSTOM FOOD for Dinner a week ahead ...

We've heard it before: it takes a few minutes to feel full. Once you've eaten your planned meal, wait 20 minutes before giving in to the urge to eat more to feel "full" or satisfied. After 20 mins, judge your level of hunger again, you'll be suprised you feel full and able to resist a binge!
