Working out at home during the winter!

I'm aware that not everyone has the privilege to workout in the comfort of their own home but havin exercise equipment such as an elliptical or treadmill, & strength training DVD's, like P90X or Jillian Michaels' is so convenient. Havin the option to simply go workout in your basement with your favorite series/show/movie on makes it that much easier to workout. Plus, not havin to go outside & drive in the cold makes it more motivating to get your fitness on bc you don't have a reason not to.

Set your alarm to workout

I've finally figured out that if I workout in the morning, I'm sure to get my workout in without excuses. So along with my wake up alarm clock, I set the alarm on my phone, eat breakfast, grab some water and get in my workout. No excuses or guess work.

Sneak it in - but don't let your body know!

The first time I lost a significant amount of weight...I would "sneak" in exercise here and there. Taking the stairs, parking in the farthest spot from the mall/groccery store, or purposely making two trips up and down the stairs when I probably could have done it all at once. Sounds a little silly..but it adds up! On top of regular exercise and eating right, I believe this really helped me reach my goal!

Eating 5 Times a Day

I always thought eating more was a horrific idea, but since I've started eating a BIG breakfast, a big lunch and a light dinner (with 2 moderate snacks in between, maintaining 1,200-1,500 cals a day) I look and feel better. Who would have thought! Making a good decision in the morning often leads to good decisions throughout the day. :)

Walk instead of drive

Walking to your destination to run small errands can turn into a great exercise time keeping your fitness levels on track. Just making a small change in our lives sometimes can make the biggest difference.
