FINALLY, I have come up with a way to stem my cheese addiction. It is so very basic and easy I wish I had thought of it before.
When I quit smoking, the one thing that got me though it was not quitting, but I won't have this cigarette. I've applied this to candy bars, french fries and other cravings I have. Instead of never having them again, I just won't have them this time!
Keep a list of all the foods that you didn't eat and write down the corresponding calories. That way, you can see how many calories you're saving yourself from. It feels great to know how your diet has changed (i.e. no more midnight snacks) and can be motivational :)
I know that if I wait until after work, lots of times I just don't feel like exercising. So, I have started getting up early to get my workouts in before heading to work. Not only am I sure to get my exercise, I also find I am more alert and have more energy through out the day. So much so, that sometimes I even do an extra "bonus" workout in the evening.
