When you get the craving for junk, and or the muchies to eat when you're not even hungry, touch, squeeze, feel, grab, and/or look at the body part(s) that you are fighting with and want to lose. In my case, I grab my belly when I get the muchies . This reminds me why I don't NEED that junk food and what i've been working so hard for. Once you touch /sqeenze that body part(s), the thought of eating that junk food will quickly go away.
The minute you say "I am dieting" you have set yourself up to fail. Dieting is doing something other than what you and your body wants. Dieting implies keeping you from foods you love due them being high calorie or high fat. Dieting implies eating portions a fraction of the size your body wants. Most of all, dieting implies deprivation.
When going to an event where food or sweets are around, I have come up with the following idea, I prepare home made JELL'O, and eat a portion or two before going out and a cup of herbal tea, like this my stomach is already somehow full, and I eat less at the function.
I eat a LOT of cabbage soup, and skip the rice, but eat a piece of protien (feel free to checkout my recipe for it). Sure, it may not be negative cal, but you get the fiber, and it gets you the veggies you need in the day. You can add spices to make your taste buds jumpin, and to decrease that calorie count ;)
