Motivational Music

I have a huge playlist of music on my iPod called "Workout/Motivation". I have three rules for the music in it: 1)No sad music 2)Music can be angry, if that is a motivator for me and 3)While the songs are playing, will I have fun? Then I put my iPod on shuffle and ger to working my butt off!

Log your exercise

I find when it's hard to get going, I log in my exercise before I do it. Then I HAVE to do it, or feel awful erasing it! Not often do I have to erase it!

Fat free roast potatoes

These are so crispy. You Cut raw potatoes into French fry sticks or chunks, then separate eggs and only use the whites. Whip the whites a little bit and then toss all of the potaoe in the whites. Take the potatoes, put them on a parchment covered cookie sheet and bake at 400 until they are brown. Don't forget to turn them after a while. They will become brown and crispy and have no fat, only additional protein. These really satisfy my French fry cravings and are good for you too.

Applesauce!

Did you know that you can substitute applesauce for the fat portion of your ingredients in baking. If you are baking cookies for example; you can substitute the same amount of applesauce for the amount of butter/margarine/or oil it calls for. The result is a fluffier cookie. Tastes great with a lot less calories.

Walk----don't eat

Meet your friends for a walk rather than going to lunch or for coffee. You can talk just as much, burn calories, and not be faced with consuming unnecessary or unhealthy food.
