Exercise during the SHOW, rest during the commercials

Most tips suggest exercising during the commercials, and that's awesome, but on the days when I know I'm not going to do much outside (no work, rainy day, etc), I choose to watch something engaging that doesn't ask much of me aka a Lifetime Movie, and exercise during the movie and sit down during the commercials. I'm doing 20 min segments of walking in place, squats, crunches, etc.

Make Typically Sweet Dishes Savoury

For instance, oatmeal doesn't need to be sweet. Savor it with savory additions: lean ground meat, spices, veggies, eggs, soy sauce: treat it like rice! I start out many of my days with savory foods because I'm less likely to eat for pleasure if the food isn't sweet.

Your Body is a Divine Machine

My body is valuable to me and requires certain things in order to function properly and optimally: the right foods, the right exercises, the right thoughts.

The body as a divine machine. Most of us have computers, and we are generally really careful with them because we want them to stay in great condition and last as long as possible. It's pretty expensive to buy a new one. In the body's case, there aren't other models of yourself waiting around just in case you mess up the one you're already in!
