Posting a link

When posting a link on the Message Boards, use the 'share a link' button. I have seen SO many posts that have just had the link 'copy and pasred.' It is so much easier for the reader to be able to click on an actual link.

Phone a friend

Get a headset for your phone (many land lines have a plug for a headset for hands-free talking) and phone a friend to chat when you get on the treadmill or stationary bike. Catch up while you walk or pedal makes the time go much faster, and it' good for your soul as well as your body.

Food Journal

I hate counting calories, measuring and weighing food, but I find that keeping a food journal, just writing down what I ate and what time helps keep me from reaching for unhealthy snacks. I still don't count and measure, I just write the time and a general idea of what I ate. It helps keep me honest.

Be Positive!

Whether reviewing a recipe, talking with friends, or commenting on a blog, try to stay positive and remember the old adage, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.' You may be having a rough day, but is it really necessary to share that with others and bring them down also?

Sketcher's Shape-Ups

I know these have been reviewed before, but I am here to tell you that they are THE most comfortable walking shoe I have ever had on my feet! I had bought a cheaper brand that I was content with, but recently I found the Sketchers and Reboks at a great price (The Finish Line) and tried on both the running toners and the walking toners. I normally wear Reboks, but the Sketcher's are far more comfortable. I literally feel as though I am walking in thick foam.

Ocean Spray Craisins

These are excellent either as just a snack or in cereals, both hot and cole. They make the original, with blueberries, and I think with cherries. I don't bake much anymore, but I imagine they would also be excellent in breads and muffins.

Morningstar Farms

I have tried the burgers, the bacon, the saussage and the Ribletts. I prefer Boca for burgers, but meat substitutes are great! LOVE the ribletts!

Banana Bags

They really do work and keep bananas fresh longer! I have some for cheese also, and I find block cheese slower to mold when stored in these.

Love yourself

I have had weight loss success with almost every plan I tried, but not LASTING success. I found that true success comes from self-love and knowing that I am worthy enough to live a good life. Having money does not lead to happiness, neither does being thin. Only inner peace can do that.

Depends

Yes, the adult diapers, and yes, I use them. I do mega walks with y dog, and there is not always a place for me to 'go' when I need to, especially in the witner when the cold air makes the urge stronger. In the summer, we walk before I have to much liquid in me, and in autumn I can find a cornfield to 'drop and squat' in, but winter my options are very limited. I would much rather wear these than have wet pants!
