Get Rid of Your "Fat" Clothes

Once you go down a size, pack up your larger clothes and donate them to charity or bring them to a resale shop or give them away...whatever! If you do not have a fall back plan of bigger clothes you know you cannot gain the weight back without buying new larger sized clothes. If that doesn't keep you motivated to stay thin, nothing will. Who wants to buy BIGGER clothes?

If you want a sure fire way to beat the holiday blues and destress, treat yourself to a relaxing massage! The benefits are endless. And if you need an idea of what to give stressed out friends and family, give them a gift certificate for a massage, they will really appreciate it.

Skip the Drive Thru

If you are tempted to go to the drive thru every day, do this instead. Every day pack a small cooler with healthy foods and drinks to keep in your car. Bring yogurt sticks (easier to eat), carrot sticks and low fat dip, low fat protein bars and bottles of water with you so you not be tempted by going and eating high fat foods at the drive thru and you will stay hydrated and not be as hungry. Try it, it works!!

Healthy chocolate!

Chocolate lovers rejoice! There is a new healthy chocolate product out called Xocai that can actually help you lose weight! They have chocolate squares, nuggets and shakes! It is rich in antioxidants and fills you up so you do not eat as much. I have been on the shakes for a week and feel great! Google Xocai to find out more!

Another use for dryer sheets

If you hate using smelly bug spray on yourself or your kids, take a dryer sheet and rub it all over your skin, the scent from the dryer sheet repels insects and smells a lot better than OFF! It is also safer with no dangerous chemicals like DEET.

Brush your teeth frequently

After you eat immediately go and brush your teeth. If you work outside the home take a toothbrush and toothpaste with you. After your mouth feels so clean and fresh you will not want to snack again until your next meal.

Portion control made easy

Most people hate having to weigh and measure their food portions. To save time, get a plate that has three section in it. The largest section should be for your salad/veggies serving, one of the smaller ones is for your protein serving and the other one is for your carbs/starches.

Chew gum to avoid snacking

Whenever I go to the grocery store, I always put a piece of chewing gum in my mouth first. That way you have an excuse to avoid all those free samples that the store clerks are giving out. Food does not taste good after you have chewed peppermint gum. But make sure it is sugarless gum!

Re use dryer sheets

Instead of throwing away used dryer sheets, put them inside of your shoes in the closet to keep them smelling fresher. You can also sprinkly some baking soda inside of them as well. Just be sure to dump out the baking soda before you wear them again!
