Try something out of your "comfort zone" Try a spin class, yoga, pilates, belly dancing etc..Exercise does not have to be horrible or boring. Some local gyms offer classes at no additional charge. Some park districts have classes for a small fee. Do something different and kill the boredom that occurs often in traditional exercise (treadmill, elipticals, stair climbing)..
I went for a walk and was trying to step faster when I suddenly found myself JOGGING! I never thought I'd run again using bad knees, overweight, cardio... every excuse! I ran 60% of my 2.5 mile route - 2 min walk / 3 min run intervals... if I can run - anyone can run!
Don't forget to wipe down any equipment you use, either at home or in the gym. Even if you are the only one who uses it, bacteria and odors like to hold on to that stuff. For best results use a weak water/bleach mixture in a spray bottle.
