Stopping the urge to snack

When I feel the urge to have a snack I do not need or a craving, I go brush my teeth and make them feel nice and fresh, That way you do not want to ruin the clean taste in your mouth, and if you did go ahead and snack it would not taste the same as the toothpaste taste would interfere and food would

Eating too little, increase your calories

I got stuck at a plateau for over four weeks, but my workouts were intense. SparkPeople upped my calories, but I wasn't sure it was right, so I didn't change at first. I was stuck for a couple more weeks. I decided to "trust" this site and learn from it. Since I upped my calories two weeks ago, I've lost four pounds. They really do know what they are talking about. :)

Pressed For Time? No Problem! Get Your Workout In!

Circuit training will give you a GREAT workout in 30 minutes or less. Make stations alternating cardio with free weights. Warm up first of course. Jump rope for 30 seconds, then do 10-15 push ups, then step up and down on a step for 30 sec, then move to squats. You could do a number of different exercises to work ur entire body. You'll get your cardio AND strength training in one session. Don't think this is easy either...Try it!

Pack the Ice

I saw Rick Ferris' on Dr. Oz and learned that if you use cold packs on your back and neck before bed you can tell your brain to start buring brown fat, the hardest fat to burn. It also helps me to get a good nights sleep as I usually overheat at night. I've also found that a cool shower helps with overall alertness and heat reduction.

check those labels

read your food labels

even after being a "career" ww or sparker, memory can fail us

from time to time re-check those labels for calories, etc. and serving size emoticon

Track food before you eat it.

I put my food into the tracker before I eat it and check to make sure I have not gone over my limits. If it will put me over what I am supposed to have, I choose something else. emoticon

Order what size you want to be

When ordering at fast food restaurants or sandwich/sub shops, order what size you wish to be. Order a "small" if you want to lose weight. Don't "supersize" your meal unless you want to be supersized yourself!
