I was just told about this feature and it rocks. It tracks your daily calories, fitness minutes & SparkPoints. You can look back at a week or a month and see how you made out. You get gold stars on the days you made your calorie target. Now I want to count gold stars and maybe make them a goal!
When I get the urge to grab something to snack on, I remember a saying I learned through Positive Changes: "Appetite (craving) is of the mind; hunger is of the body." In other words, if my stomach isn't growling or empty, then my urges stem for a mental or emotional desire. That has been very helpful for me.
I learned this trick awhile ago. When I fill my water bottle up, I add 1 tsp Benefiber. Since I refill my bottle 3 more times daily, that means I have 4 tsp Benefiber total. It adds up to 60 calories. There's no taste, excellent for your health, and the extra fiber is like taking a appetite suppressant. Try it for a week, you'll feel the difference and your scale will show it also.
I learned this trick from the wardrobe person on "Friends': A baby wipe is an excellent instant stain remover when you spill something on yourself. It's what they use on the set on taping days if an actor spills! When a spill happens, blot the stain with a napkin, then blot with a baby wipe until the stain is gone. It works on coffee and most foodstains. I find even if I can't get it out completely, it will usually still wash out! I don't have kids but I carry a small pack of baby wipes anyway!
After numerous attempts to get back on track, I found that what works for me is staying in touch w/ the message boards and reading all of these secrets for a few minutes several times a day to help me stay focused on the goal.
