Try making a healthy version of an indulgent food--Rutabaga fries!
I got a recipe off the internet for "rutabaga fries" (yes the waxy vegetable, easy to peel!)...1/3 the carbs of a potato, and 1/2 the fat! Plus, you can slice them similar to McD's fries (not that I crave them anymore, but such a treat to have them look that way!) They are also only "fries" in name, as they are prepared--oven roasted, and actually taste healthier

Cheese, avocado, chili topping Mix together a Lauging Cow cheese wedge with a sliver of avocado and just a touch of chili garlic sauce for a satisfying and tasty topping. I've put it on an english muffin and in my omelet. I felt like I was eating something fattening. Hope you like it. :)

Healthy Homemade French/Catalina Dressing Mix 3/4 portions of Greek yogurt with 1/4 portion of Spicy Low Sodium V-8 juice (or just enough to thin as desired) for a low cal/low sodium red salad dressing. Use for salad, or for a chicken/fish marinade or sauce. V-8 is always in my refrigerator for a quick veggie fix, anyhow!

1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
3 tsp unsweetened cocoa, 2 envelopes Splenda, 2 oz. non fat milk in tall glass. Stir (briskly) until fully blended. Fill glass with plain soda water (be Careful - it will bubble up and overflow if you pour it too fast). Enjoy. This is the "soda" in an ice cream soda.

A Lighter and Healthier Mac and Cheese I LOVE Mac and Cheese but avoid it as it is a calorie disaster and not all that nutritious...however I recently made a lighter and healthier version that was pretty darn good. I used 1/2 the normal amount of pasta and instead substituted cauliflower. Delicious!
