Always show up- you'll feel so much better
They say "you're only one workout away from a good mood"-SO TRUE!.
I've never regretted working out- doesn't have to be a sweaty session- a short walk, a short core workoutif pushed for time.
I have however regretted NOT working out & not woken properly that day, or I've kept a headache longer.
I'm not saying go hell for leather every day- just get SOME EXERCISE IN and reap the benefits long term
Sleep Better................be well
Go for it
so you're feeling like the couch is your best bet today huh? wrong! Come the end of today you'll feel restless and will be saying "I wish I'd walked/cycled/swam" (whatever)
So don't just sit there feeling low, GO FOR IT.
Even if it's only 15 mins you'll fee the benefit later and MAN will it lift your mood
making it happen
If you have your workout clothes to hand the moment you get up and put them on, it motivates you to move. It's worked for me since I've started on Sp in 2007!
Find exercise you enjoy........
whether it's walking, swimming, gardening, cycling, lifting weights or doing yoga, find something you ENJOY doing and you're more likely to stick with it.
We're all different!
Eat Healthily and move more.........simple equation and it works!
Make it natural
Get some attractive workout clothes to make you feel good!Put your workout gear out for the morning and step straight into it. Make it a natural part of starting your day, getting into your gear will motivate you to get active.
Plan your meals for a week b4 you go shopping, it makes your shopping list easier to stick to and you're less likely to be throwing food away
Planning Weekly Food Shop- Never forget a thing!
I have a list of every item I ever buy on our computer. From food to loo rolls to sundry items I buy occasionally, listed in groups (fresh fruit and veg, meats, sauces, toiletries, cleaning items, frozen) according to where I'll find the item in the supermarket.
Once a week I simply adjust the list and print it off. The Original List is saved as "read only" so remains unchanged.
As a package becomes empty (or near empty) I make a note to replace it
Very rarely to I forget anything.
Mixing salads- no mess!
Ever got messy hands tossing a salad?
For a quick and simple way of tossing veg cover your bowl with cling film making sure it sticks to the bowl and is tight.
Then just spin the bowl over and over til you've tossed all the ingredients together.
Remove cling film.
Place plate over bowl
Invert both together and your salad will be on the plate with no mess on your hands!
when dressing a salad leave it to the last possible minute to ensure crisp veg and no soggy lettuce
Banana- a superfood
Keep bananas handy in the house or in your lunch box in case of hunger as it is one of nature's superfoods
