Use those perfumed magazine blow-ins anywhere that needs to be freshened. I use mine in the closet where the garbage can is, one in the laundry room. Finally, a use for those things!!! Just place in the room, discard when they no longer freshen the room. You have spent nothing.
As soon as they are out of the crib, start training your child (or grandchild) to make the bed. Praise their efforts, don't go behind them and "fix" it. Children should do what they are able to do, and they can help around the house.
When cleaning windows, mirrors, etc, use old newspapers rather than paper towels. You get no lint and much cheaper. If you don't normally get the paper, partner up with another person who does!! Another way of recycling.
Cut 2 boneless chicken breasts into strips. Cut 1 red, 1 green, 1yellow and 1 orange bell pepper into strips, slice up one onion. Saute the chicken in 1-2 T. olive oil, remove to a plate, add peppers and onion to the pan along with 2 T. balsamic vinegar, saute until peppers start to soften, add chicken back to pan and cover and simmer for about 5 min. Just before serving add a little more balsamic vinegar. YUM YUM and so pretty!!!
