I believe being negative is a strike against seeing the big picture: Negativity Clouds the truth. I can change. I can get fit. I can do one thing a day and that is in the direction of making the right choices for me to get well. Finally, refraining negative thoughts and judgements is a waste of time...
If you did not do the fitness or healthy food choice thing for the day or moment....rewind the head and do it again.
Being compassionate towards myself helps me turn off the self hate when I am less than perfect and when I fail the very high standards I set for myself. I am learning the deepest lesson of moderation in all my affairs.
If I slip, I say so...and treat it as a step back and a chance to step forward again, twice. This way, I as quick as possible shut down the "shame attack" in my heard and turn on the "willingness glow" in me that I must remember each day.
Let your daughter pretend to be one of the BIGGEST LOSERS trainers...and laugh with them.
Change to change is a tool for recognizing we have to do some and do something different to get a different result. So change to change is a mantra...and stance to look at self from...to ask the deep question: Am I willing to change so I can change?
I realize that losing 71 pounds without leaning balance and without fitness is really a set up for maintaining that number on the scale. I am so glad to be SPARKED by someone on my spark page who shared with her similar journey and challenged me to go back and reframe my goal of fitness.
