Breathing is very important when working out. The muscles need the oxygen to develop and you don't want to pass out . To help me with my breathing, I carry a piece of gum when i workout, AND IT WORKS!! The constant chewing prevents me from holding my breath because its forcing me to breath.
I don't like drinking water but I find it's a lot easier when I actually exercise! When you're really thirsty after a workout or after sweating a bit, you tend to want water rather than a sugary drink since it quenches your thirst better. Helps motivate me to work out AND drink water!
I quit when I had 10 lbs to lose, now I have 15! I am successful at being non smoker. Have plan to stick more closely to my meal plan and add walking 3 days a week to my 2 days of aquacise..Hope this will be my plan of success
It's much more fun to drink water when I put pieces of fruit--i.e. lemons, peaches, kiwi, blueberries--in it. It lightly flavors the water, and if I use a clear glass, it's so visually appealing! No need to replace the fruit when refilling the glass, either. The flavor lasts for several uses.
After a 70lb weight loss, I still weigh myself everyday....it ensures that I can maintain my weight within a 5lb range, but enjoy trying new foods and adjusting my intake...without gaining a tonn of weight.
Many, many days of not getting enough water, but I'm getting better with it. My secret - start as early in the morning as possible. Even better to get active as early in the morning as possible to increase the need for more water.
I LOVE shopping at thrift stores but found that my collection of clothing & other things was growing too big for my house. So now, every time I shop at the thrift store, I donate. For every item I purchase, I donate an item.
We all know it: The Plateau. It's when no further changes occur in weight loss, strength and/or fitness despite all your efforts. Reason: Your body has ADAPTED to your new and healthier lifestyle. It now "knows" that it has to survive on a smaller diet and therefore uses all the fuel it gets more efficiently. It now "knows" that it has to expect additional work (exercise) and does it with less effort. So, to break through the plateau you have to INCREASE and/or CHANGE the challenge for your body
