He is the reason

God is my motivation for everything. Before I get out of bed I commit everything - the whole day to Him. It is simply amazing where I am led, who I meet. It is such an exciting adventure. Even when things go bad. The bank took two house payments out on the first and third. What was suppose to take 6 - 10 business days to get the mess straightened out took less than 12 hours.
Jeremiah 33:3 God's shows you and instructs you in ways I could only have dreamed or wanted. I trust Him completely.

Pick Me Up

For a pick me up - I invite others who are helping in senior care out for coffee on me. It gives me such a lift and they respond as if I have given them a million dollars. They need to get that job off their chest and it helps them to tell someone. I use to care for an invalid mother-in-law with emphysema. I know some of the emotions they are experiencing.

Stop Mindless Negative Thinking

Often my mind would drift into a negative wasteland where all sorts of boogie things made me miserable. I started to be aware of these negative thoughts and I would sound an inaudible anttttttt button in my mind. I had to prepare myself with a barrage of pleasant thoughts that switched off the negative thinking so that -
I now spend my time in a positive state of mind and the pounds are coming off.

How I stay hydrated

I am not a water drinker. I measure by daily quota of water into two containers. Add Crystal light - now I use a small amount of it- or I steep sliced cucumbers in water for flavor. I drink one container by 1 pm, the other by 6 pm.

Think healthy

Just focusing on thinking healthy makes a whole attitude change. When I set my mind on thinking healthy, reading healthy, and purchasing healthy I begin to behave healthy.

Go small proportion - eat often

I look at what I need in nutrition to fuel my day. Plan, shop, and break my calorie consumption down into five meals with more calories being allocated to the hour before my work out.

Retirement

Retirement starts with that first paycheck. OHHHH it was so hard in the beginning not to want to spend that little pile of cash. Even though the extra annuity checks went bye bye with the market, what we saved is supporting us now. I am so happy we were not foolish in the beginning as I never knew it would turn out this good. Remember to pay yourself first and then don't touch it - forget it's there.

Bananas

If you have bought too many bananas and they will go bad - Put the extra ones in the refrigerator at the peak of perfection. They will keep nicely for a couple more days.
