Recipe Makeovers

Minipizza w/whole-grain pitta, low-fat cheese, homemade tomato sauce & extra lean ham is 1 of my fav dishes & it doesn't pack a lot of calories! Figure out ways to enjoy your fav food w/ a healthy twist. Get creative!

I can even enjoy chocolate milk w/ skim milk & 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder or healthy sandwiches loaded w/ veggies, melted low-fat cheese & lean meat. They're yummy, fulfulling & the possibilities are endless!

I also replaced fries w/ thin slices of baked potato. Crunchy!

Cravings

When you have a craving, grab a bottle of water and drink. Chances are you're mostly thirsty. If your craving is still there, try to do something else so that your mind will drift away from that desire to cheat. Clean, do a short workout session, have a shower, call a friend, go for a walk, play an online game, you name it. If you crave something sugary, grab some fruit and make a yummy fruit salad. Crisis is Change

When we slip up, that means there's something in our plan that's making us feel uncomfortable and therefore fall off the wagon. We must remember this is a lifestyle change so we must find a way to enjoy it and stick to it. Revise your ways and make adjustments. Fully commit yourself to your goal and give your journey a makeover. Is there something that's made you bored? Try and find ways to change it and keep it new and exciting. CRISIS GIVES US THE CHANCE TO IMPROVE.
