Getting your 5 a day!!

I have a salad every day which always has AT LEAST my 5 portions of fruit/veg in it. If I don't manage to get it for lunch, I have it for dinner!

Early morning work out?

If the best time for you to work out is early in the morning, but, like me, you begrudge getting up sooo early . . . get everything ready the night before. For example, I work out to emoticon , so I make sure the DVD is in the player before I go to bed, my water bottle is full and in the fridge, my work out area is clear and I go to bed in my work out clothes!
The only thing I have to worry about is getting up and exercising . . . no worry about all the prep!

Beetroot!

If, like me, you love pickled beetroot, go for whole baby beets instead of sliced . . . they are lower in calories but taste exactly the same!

I always make sure I weigh myself under the same conditions . . . butt naked, before eating or drinking anything at all and after going to the loo!

Extra storage space

If, like me, you only live in a small place with little or no storage, you can take advantage of the space beneath the bottom drawers in your chest of drawers. Ok, it will only fit small things, but it's amazing how much you can fit under there!

Don't worry, I don't mean literally. This is a little tip I picked up on an effective expediting course I did a few years ago . . . it basically means do the thing you are least looking forward to doing first!

Surround yourself with positive things!

I buy things for the house which have a positive message on them, my fridge is covered in positive little magnets and I have plaque's on my walls all over the house. My favourite is a wall hanging which reads 'Follow your dreams', it hits you straight in the face (not literally) as soon as you enter the living room!
I also have the following on the front page/screen of my mobile phone . . . Nothing tastes as good as being slim and healthy feels!!
