Clean with a pedometer on!

Today I put my pedometer on and my running shoes while I cleaned the house! I felt so much more motivated to move just by adding those two things (and not cleaning in my slippers). I added steps, squats, and lunges as I cleaned. I had 6357 steps just in the 2 hours of cleaning!

Find a spark team related to exercise!

It has been so motivating and fun to find a spark team related to exercise. The posts and team huddles are a great way to keep motivated, and provides nice accountability. I found the 30 Day Shred team - shred it! The team members have really kept me going- 30 day streak for exercise!

My Magazine Journal

I am not great at journaling, can never seem to write down the positives I have done. I bought a new journal and took some old magazines and cut out one motivating word per journal page from the magazines and glued it right on top of the page. It looks a bit like a cut out magazine ransom note.

You've packed your lunch...now don't forget it

If you pack your lunch the night before and put it in the fridge, one way not to forget it the next day as you grab the rest of your stuff is to put your car keys in the lunch bag. Can't drive away without your lunch!

Enjoy exercising with your kids!

I have a 3 year old, so it can be hard to get time away to exercise. Today, we went to the pool. I used the walk traker and mapped out a 2.5 mile walk there (it's only 3 blocks away). Mom got her exercise, daughter got to swim, all were happy! Modeled healthy behaviors for her too!

Drive through money

When I am tempted to go through a drive through for a "quick fix" that is not on my diet, I take the money I would have spent and stick it an envelop. Use it to reward myself when I make a goal.
