I set my phone to beep me every 2-3 hours so that I remembered to eat. After a couple of weeks, my stomach was my alarm. now, whenever I feel myself slipping back to fewer but bigger meals, I start setting my alarm again
When I started my weight loss journey, 50 lbs ago in Oct '09, one of the biggest hurdles I had was getting out of the 3 square a day habit. I now eat 5-6 smaller meals (150-200 cal) so that my system never gets overwhelmed at one time.
We all know that we need to drink lots of water. It gets really boring after a while!!!! Add a packet of lemon crystals to get a change of taste. Also, adding a squeeze of orange or a few strawberries also gives you a refreshing change.
When I get a craving, which is usually for a sweet, I first look at my watch to figure out if it's time to eat. If I figure it's just a craving, I grab a piece of gum. Satisfies my sweet tooth imediately!
