Peggy Cappy Easy Yoga for Arthritis

My arthritis is mild, but I have pain from sciatica and bone pain from cancer. This workout is easy and gentle on the joints, and it's for any age. The gentle stretching really helps with my back pain. You can do the workout standing, seated, or standing and using a chair for support.

Funny things that cheer me up

For years, I've collected funny stips or jokes I've seen online or newspapers or magazines, and I keep them all in a album. If I am having a down day and need a smile, I look through one or two of those albums, they always make me laugh!

Drug free headache relief

I have found that Village Naturals Therapy Headache Relief Lotion works great when I have a mild headache, and often prevents a headache if I feel symptoms coming on. It has peppermint, chamomile, and lavender in it. I rub it on my forehead and the back of my neck. Just don't put it on after washing your face or showering, it stings if your pores are open!

Keep your cutting board from sliding

If your cutting board is sliding while you are using it, place a dampened dish rag underneath it, that will keep it from moving around.

Clarifying shampoo

Instead of buying separate clarifying shampoo, I just add a little bit of baking soda to my regular shampoo; mix the two together in the palm of your hand before lathering up.

Plastic hangars

Some of the stores I shop in leave the plastic hangers on the clothes when you buy them. I prefer to use my own sturdier hangers, but the ones I get with my clothing I donate to Goodwill. I figure they can always use the extra hangers since they sell a lot of clothes, and it's a great way to recycle them.

Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Bars

I love these! Each bar is made with low fat caramel ice cream drizzled with chocolate. Only 100 calories, and 2.5 grams of fat per bar, and each bar has 3 grams of fiber. I love the flavor of the ice cream, tastes like a caramel latte. They are nice and thick too, and take time to eat, so they are a very satisfying treat.

Save money with Facebook

If there is a product you really like and use a lot of, or a store you shop in often, search for them on Facebook and "like" them if they have a page. Sometimes they offer deals, coupons or samples exclusively for Facebook fans.

Cutting green onions

I use a pair of kitchen shears to make quick work of cutting up green onions. They also work great for cutting up fresh herbs.

Using bananas in recipes

If you have to mash bananas for a recipe such as banana bread or muffins, a potato masher is a quick and easy way to do it.
