Take it off!

I am 5'6", 28% body fat, and bad self image. I learned a funny secret, but it works! At home, I exercise in skimpy outfits, because your body looks good when it's exercising! Seeing your body working and being pushed helped me get past the vanity of losing weight to the "big picture" frame of mind of being strong and healthy!

Change your goal

I have noticed that I am a lot more successful and happy when I choose a fitness goal, like working up to 25 push ups or shaving a minute off of my 5k. This helps you focus on being active instead of skinny, which is a much healthier mindset!

Fubu Toning Shoes

I bought these budget friendly shoes at burlington for $20. These shoes are awesome! They are so comfortable that I can be on my feet all day (which really helps with the calorie burn). I haven't felt that all-over, hurts so good, soreness like other workouts, but I do feel a little sore in the "jiggle" right where my legs meet my butt. I really love these, even if the results are just a placebo effect!

Am I full?

Even if you eat healthy foods, OVEReating will still sabotage a diet. I keep sudoku and puzzle books around the house and after each meal, when I don't feel completely full yet, I take 15 or 20 minutes to complete a puzzle. This helps to distract me while I wait for the "full" signals to reach my brain.

Finding

I don't have much will power, so I identified my achilles' heel (ice cream and high cal granola cereal my dad makes). i eat the granola for breakfast so I have all day to burn it off, and I try to limit myself to ice cream only once or twice a week.
