Get up just for 5 mins exercise

you are sitting now, watcing the TV, reading,
Just move from your place and just do 5 mins exercise
just 5 mins.

thinking that it is just only five mins, will motivate you to exercise, you will never think of the five mins as a big effort

this will extend to more, until you reached to 30 mi

Remember - Just 10 minutes

Before SP, I always thought I that if I didn't have enough time to exercise, it was zilch for the day. Now I realize that, even on lazy days, all I need is a 10 minute block of time. I usually find that I do much more than that, so it's just getting started with those 10 minutes that's great.

exercise

When it feels hard my secret is to breathe.
I breathe out all the tension, bad vibes, negativity.
I breathe in positive energy, power, and fresh air!
It is almost as if I am meditating and exercising with breathing! emoticon

One House - Once per Week

On my weekend, (Thurs & Frid), I spend one hour late on Friday afternoon, washing, peeling, chopping & shredding up a colorful array of as many veggies as I can get hold of, & then I measure & bag them up so that I have my week night veggies already prepped & ready to go for my evening meals. Believe me, it's worth spending that one hour, once a week, it feels so good to just grill a chicken breast & stir fry the veggies, hey presto, fast food - deliciously nutritious too. emoticon

Gadget for Cheese Lovers

Forget about those horrid processed low-fat cheese creations. Get yourself a wedge of really excellent Parmigiano Reggianno and one of those high-quality microplane graters. They come in various sizes. Get one for hard cheeses.

A third of an ounce of cheese grates into a great big mound of tasty topping for your whole wheat spaghetti, salads and soups . You will probably use even less.

It's let me indulge my love of cheese while losing 30 pounds.

Bottle Water Trick

Take a bottle water and calculate how many of that bottle you need to drink in a day. Add rubber bands around the bottle in the morning and take one off for each bottle you drink. Once all the rubber bands are off, you finished your water for the day !

Just go to bed!

I am really bad about snacking at night. I start to get really hungry (or bored?) around 9pm. So when that happens and I don't want to cheat, I just go to bed early instead of staying up til my usual 11. And as a result, I get more sleep and watch less TV too! It's a win-win.

Dessert Flavored Tea

When I'm craving something sweet, I have a dessert flavored tea. Loose leaf tea shops are popping up everywhere these days, and they have a vast selection. If you live in Canada, David's Tea has a great selection : Lime Gelato green tea, Mom's Apple pie green tea, Pumpkin Chai (tastes like pumpkin pie). You can drink them hot, or very cold with ice, and they have zero calories! It's often enough to eliminate my dessert craving and it helps digestion after a meal!

Water Rituals

At first, 64 oz/day is daunting. Learn what works for you - a special bottle, a temperature, a time of day, a flavor stick, whatever. If it helps you to drink the water, do it.

Don't be afraid of oils

Although too much oil is bad for you, you do need some oil in your diet. Some nutrients and vitamins need oil to work properly in your body.
A 1/2 serving of light mayonnaise is not going to hurt your diet. Using enough olive oil so that meats like fish, chicken, and beef will not stick to the pan (1 teaspoon) is not going to wreck your calorie count either.
I know a lot of people like using the spray oils but using olive oil is actually quiet healthy in moderation and it tastes better.
