I mix veggies into lots of kid dishes that don't normally have them. I put spinach in ravioli (or any other chef boyardee item), I add broccoli, peas, and/or carrots to mac and cheese, veggies on pizza, etc. My daughter eats them without even realizing that those veggies aren't part of the regular dishes.
When I'm super tired and just don't think I have the energy to exercise, I tell myself "just 10 minutes". Some days, once I start, I can do more and some days, I just do the 10 minutes. Either way, at least I exercised a few minutes.
I find tasty treats that meet my sweet tooth needs without putting me over the top on my nutrition totals. I have a huge sweet tooth and eat some kind of dessert almost every day. I don't feel deprived and I'm not overindulging...win/win!
