Grow a veggie garden!

One way to make sure that you eat lots of veggies is to grow them yourself. If you put in the work, you'll feel bad letting any go to waste. Plus, your own veggies are local and (hopefully) organic too! emoticon

Eat soup!

Soup is a fantastic meal! The liquids in it help fill you up, it is full of healthy foods, and low in calories. The best part is that It leaves you feeling satisfied like you ate a much higher calorie meal. Soup is one of my favorite things to eat for dinner, especially when I need something light to eat. It's easy to make too! I try to make it for dinner at least once a week and I always have leftovers to eat for lunches.

Don't have a lot of time? Jump rope!

My favorite exercise when I don't have a lot of time is jumping rope! It burns a TON of calories in a short amount of time, its fun, and you can do it almost anywhere.

Get rid of cable

While this may not be for everyone, we got rid of cable TV. It saves a lot of money each month, and now instead of vegging out on the couch after dinner each night we go for a walk, talk to each other, or spend more time playing with our child. Its a win win for us.

Eat at home

Like weight loss, all of the small things add up. Eating at home and bringing your lunch to work can save a lot over time! (And it will save you calories too!)
