Combo car-bike

I have 28 km to work - too far to bike. But I have a bike rack on the car, drive and park about ten km from work and cycle the remaining part. Busy days I park closer to work, beautiful days further away.

Getting a good start

Precook beans

I buy dry beans and chick peas and soak them in water for eight hours and cook. Then I divide them in 120-150 g servings, and freeze. Making slow food fast and easy to put in soups, stews and salads.

Freeze portions

I buy brown rice in 20 kilo sacks and then I cook 1 l dry measure at the time and weigh in 150 g portions that I freeze. Three minutes in the micro makes it ready to eat.
