They say it takes 21 days to make something a habit. But I realized by day 15, those cookies everyone was eating in the office wasn't really something I wanted or desired to eat. Whatever it is you want to achieve, if you can make it 21 days without cheating or slipping, you are golden! =D
I try to avoid all artificial sweeteners (Splenda/Sucralose & Aspartame) so to flavor my water I like to take a cold water bottle (we have 32oz ones here in Iraq) & stick a flavored tea bag into it. I then will stick it in the freezer for about 20 mins. The tea will seep just slightly. (theres more)
I reward myself weekly. On Sundays I allow myself to get a cup of ice cream and a burger (on wheat, not a bun) and I'll buy a new music video or a couple of songs for the next weeks workout. It keeps me wanting to go to the gym to work out.
