I find I always want a dessert after lunch and dinner but everything is way too high in calories. New Recipes

While trying to watch my calorie intake, I look for new recipes. I don't like to adapt favorite recipes to low fat, low cal because I don't think they turn out well. So instead, I find new recipes that fit my dietary guidelines.

On the road - lunch

When driving long distances and needing lunch, I go to the deli and get lean ham, low fat cheese and low fat crackers. They do a great job of keeping hunger away until we can stop for a proper evening meal without wasting time and money.

Tested Recipes

When I try a new recipe, if it is a keeper, I type it into a computer file and print it to keep in a 3 ring binder. That way I have it handy to cook and the file can be changed as needed.

Books

I read a lot of books and used to get them at a discount store. Even at lower prices, they added up. Not only that but I had to find room to store them. Now I get all my books from the library.
