When I have a sluggish week and don't feel like exercising, I remind myself that a week has 10,080 minutes in it and I only have to exercise for 90 of those!
During the summer I like to sign up for at least one road race per month. This motivates me when doing my weekly exercising. If you have never tried doing a 5k, give it a shot! You can run or walk!
I love chocolate and it is my weakness BUT I've discovered Protein bars!! If I'm having a chocolate craving I'll have a lighter supper and a yummy chocolatey protein bar with my evening tea!! (I just bought the 'Detour' bars at Costco and LOVE them!!)
If you're not a big 'cleaner' (like me), clean just one thing a day, like the microwave. Just one thing a day makes a difference and keeps you busy so you're not thinking about all those yummy food temptations out there!
When I get a craving for junk food I will make myself a herbal tea. It will tide me over until my next meal and keep me busy for a little while :) I also have a HUGE collection of different teas and it's fun to try a different one each time!
I weigh myself weekly. If I weigh myself and there is no change in my weight I wait a couple days and weigh myself again. I only record my weight when it has gone down, that way I don't get too distracted by the 'short term' progress and only focus on how well I've been doing in the long run! If ...
