NO MATTER WHAT, NEVER GIVE UP. You will succeed if you just keep showing up! I've applied this recently to exercising. Without allowing myself to dwell on past negative experiences, I just put on my workout cloths and ' show up '. Three things to consider when you find yourself slipping back.

I try to take note of when I've replaced a bad habit with a good one or removed a bad habit altogether. This way when the scale doesn't move I can remember that my goal is fundamentally overall health, and the weight loss will come.
