Never lose an opportunity to get in that exercise. Waiting for the school bus: March in place. Waiting in the check out line: Do calf raises, pelvic tilts, march in place. Sitting in the car: do knee lifts or arm exercises. There's always TIME, you just have to use it. Park further away, take the stairs
In The Sparks Book appendices there is a section showing exercises you can do without equipment. In the morning I do one set of those every day to get me going. Only takes 5 minutes and you don't have to have "rest" days because you are not doing multiple sets or pushing yourself.
I identified a handful of exercises off of the SP strength training list that are very easy to do - calf rocking, seated leg raises, wall pushups, etc. I try to do these all day and it increases my metabolism (and hopefully my weight loss!)
I have found that what appears to be a lot of belly fat is partly lack of muscle tone in the abdominal region. For me, this is due to having had two children and a hysterectomy.
I am fully aware that I am incapable of living off of egg white omelets and baked chicken the rest of my life. I realize this is a lifestyle change so why focus on food I do not want to eat? Drinking a lot of water (4+ cups) within a short period of time (~30-60 mins) will prevent your body from using it properly. It is MUCH better to spread your water intake over the whole day. This allows your kidneys to use it properly, instead of releasing unprocessed water and dehydrating you. If you drink throughout the day while eating, you replenish both sodium and water in your kidneys to keep them functioning properly.

Eat Bananas, Milk, unsalted sunflower seeds, beans, cocoa or dark chocolate and potatoes with the skin. Why? Eatting a potassium rich diet, makes the body become more efficient at getting rid of excess sodium. These foods also provide magnesium. Both play a role in keeping BP down.
Save the rest of tomato paste in the can by wrapping approx one tbsp amts individually with Saran wrap then into a Ziploc bag and then into the freezer. When you need tomato paste, take one out and throw it unwrapped into the pot frozen and it melts almost immediately. Quick, easy and frugal!
