One of the things I used to do so much, and still do at times, is beat myself up over a mistake of whatever kind. I have to forgive myself and move forward. Beating myself up with only keep me in a self-defeating cycle.
It is very easy to stop blogging when we aren't doing so well - but it is important to blog even when you're off track. Your Spark friends will support you, and you can look back on those blogs to see what you've pulled yourself out of before.
My motivation is looking at my list of things I really want to do when I've lost the weight and feeling better. I got over the just "i want to be healthy" statement and let myself dream and realize that I want to be able to buy a pair of panties from Victoria's Secret. One of my girls sent me a bag and gift card and they are next to my computer where I check in my food. I will get to go shopping there I will!
Turn off everything with a lighted screen 2-3 hrs before bedtime. This includes, but is not limited to, TVs, computers, cellphones, iPads/iPods, etc. Also, try to eliminate all sources of light in your bedroom, like the LED alarm clock, the light from your charging cellphones, etc. All of these light sources interfere with the body's wake/sleep cycle & production od serotonin. Turning on the light if you go to the bathroom during the night also resets this cycle.
