I have found that speaking out about my goals for fitness, diet and healthy lifestyle has helped me to stay motivated and keep on track. Many of those around me have asked how I am doing from time to time and this keeps me accountable!
When down and out physically or emotionally take some time out to take care of yourself. Being a single mom, it is my job to take care of everyone else but, it is equally important for moms and dads to take time out and take care of themselves.
At the turn of every season, I gather up everything I haven't used in the past 3 - 4 months and I give it away or donate it. This clears out space to arrange the belongings I DO use and provides 'open space' so that my home and workspace don't feel so cluttered.
When i know there are going to be tasty treats and my favorite sweets at a party or get together, I simply eat a large apple before I go and drink a full glass of water. This helps to curb my appetite and allows me to fight off the temptation as well as everyone offering me this or that...It is really great to tell people, no thanks, I already ate.
Though I feel great physically, emotionally and mentally after a workout. There are days when I just don't feel like doing it. So, I just get up before I talk myself out of it and I Just Do IT! Afterward, I have such a rewarding feeling!
