Use roasted garlic instead of butter! Great way to add flavour using less fat and calories!
I think the biggest TIME WASTER is watching TV...that's not to say that I still don't watch the occasional show!
To keep my weight loss/healthy living goals fresh in my mind...I log onto Sparkpeople first thing upon waking in the morning.
My usual craving times are at night. I have found that if I drink water instead of right away grabbing a snack, my cravings often go away. I "forget" to drink much throughout the day meaning my body is dehydrated and really not hungry after all.
This is my motto when trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. After shopping I bring home my produce for "processing". Meaning I "wash" and "cut" up as many fruits and vegetables as possible. This way I'm more prone to eat these when I'm hungry because I can just "grab" vegs and "add" to my soups and salads, and "add" fruit to my smoothies and cereals/oatmeal.
My secret to working out is not to overthink my workout! When I start to do this, I will come up with every excuse not to workout. Eg: I'm too tired, not enough time, I don't feel like it, I can't. I have learned to just get moving and jump right into some kind of exercise. I feel great afterwards and don't have to put myself through the guilt of not reaching my daily workout goals.
